Stark realism, including flashes of man-made lightning fromt 'The Chair', mark this scene that ends the show. Floyd Woolsey plays the part of the condemned man. He 'dies' for dear old Prexy Whalen 35 times a day. Some of the spectators almost die, too, but the show has a chastening effect on them".
