"A 'Macon' Party was held at the Savoy Hotel, London, todayHam made from mutton and bacon made from mutton are in no way new foods... It has also been suggested that the name was coined in honour of Mr. MacQuisten, who brought the subject of mutton bacon to the notice of the House of Commons.
Photo shows MacQuisten samples some egg and 'macon' at the 'Macon' Party at the Savoy Hotel today".
